every day one improvisation
After many years dealing with synthesizers and digital audio workstations I was pushed to sitting down at the piano regularly again. I didn't want to leave it to chance, so I was thinking about how to make it a real project.
Nach vielen Jahren Beschäftigung mit Synthesizern und digitaler Musikproduktion erhielt ich den Anstoß, mich doch wieder regelmäßig an das Klavier zu setzen. Ich wollte es nicht dem Zufall überlassen, also dachte ich darüber nach, wie ich ein Musikprojekt daraus machen konnte.

Every day I sat down at the piano without any idea of what to play. I simply let go. Starting the project with the 30th of September 2007 I recorded 32 improvisations on the piano, one each day. Then I recorded news of radio stations on the web, took photos ... from 2008 on I started to arrange the material in the way it made sense for me.
Jeden Tag setzte ich mich ans Klavier, ohne Vorstellung, was ich spielen wollte. Ich ließ es einfach passieren. Ich startete das Projekt mit dem 30.09.2007 und schnitt 32 Improvisationen am Klavier mit. Parallel dazu nahm ich Radionachrichten aus aller Welt auf, fotografierte Herbstmotive des Monats ... ab 2008 arrangierte ich alles auf eine Weise, die für mich künstlerisch Sinn machte.
